Meredith Cork

Management and Marketing

Hailing from Australia, Meredith started her career in music as a Graphic Designer, with clients as varied as Triple M radio and Peter Garret's Midnite Oil. Upon arrival in the UK, Meredith extended her remit to include marketing and PR, working with Virgin, the New Music Seminar and artists. After handling the press for the Chicago House movement (The Jackmaster House tour, Fingers Inc., Joe Smooth and JM Silk) and Womack & Womack’s smash album 'Conscience' with the huge No 1 hit 'Teardrops on the Dance Floor', Meredith and a colleague founded SOS Management, representing a vast array of mega successful record producers and artists.  Her roster included Stephen Lironi (Black Grape, Hansen, Jon Bon Jovi), Jimmy Miller (the Rolling Stones, Traffic and Primal Scream's seminal 'Screamadelica'), Butch Vig (L7, Smashing Pumpkins and Nirvana's smash record Nevermind), Marcella Detroit (Shakespears Sister), the multi-platinum selling band, Garbage, and cult artists Merz and Dot Allison.

Cork also currently manages the talented 'buzz' band Siskin... she is also renowned for her top nosh...

Jim Gottlieb

Marketing and New Media

Jim is a musio through and through –founder of Firehouse Ltd and  Sugar Records, a music consultant for Channel 4 and Channel 5, and most recently, founder of Playlouder and Playlouder Recordings (with The Beggars Group).  Playlouder has been at the forefront of many developments in music and new media, and quickly became one of the largest editorial based music websites in the UK.  Jim has also developed Concrete and Glass, an East London festival of music and art which takes place over two days across over 40 different venues each day (partners have included Time Out, The Arts Council Of Great Britain, Saatchi, BBC 6 Music, Hackney Council, Tower Hamlets Council, Red Bull, Becks and XFM) that enjoyed two Channel 4 commissioned and broadcasted documentaries.

Jim has managed successful recording artists signed to major and independents labels, and his strengths are broad and involve all aspects of an artist’s career, including business management, creative vision, publishing, live events, merchandise and other outputs.

 


 

John Pearson

Director, Pearson Productions and Pearson Associates

John Pearson is an industry veteran with a background as wide as it is long. Starting out as a DJ, JP's career has taken him around the world, managing bands, saw him become Sales Director for A&M and Island records, Commercial Director for MCA / Uni and MD for ZTT.  Since 2001, John has been consulting for Bertlesmann Germany, Metropolis Studios, and Twenty First Artists. 

His work is plainly seen -  for Metropolis Studios, John developed, with ITV, ‘Legends’ concerts filming at Studio A and set up London Legends Masterclass week.  At Twenty First, John handled all the logistics for Elton John’s Red Piano DVD/BluRay to Universal and Best Buy USA. He has also brokered deals for long form DVD programmes for Chris Rea. He also runs jazz imprint 'Giant Steps' with respected UK author Roy Carr, licensed through Cherry Red Records. Steve Price

Designer, Visionary, Madman

Steve Price is the founder and creative director of Plan-B Studio. He describes his specialism as being a ‘storyteller using art direction and design.’

Whether it is a complete single/album campaign, a full integrated CMS web site, a book, an interactive piece, a motion graphics title sequence, or an iPhone App, Steve has done it all, and well, incorporating the maxim that behind ever great project needs to be a simple, but great idea.

Steve has since worked with clients across the globe in the UK, Japan, America, Australia and Europe for the great and good such as The Shop at Bluebird, Diesel, Evian, Vodafone, Orange, Sony Playstation, RedDot Clothing, Howies, Friends of the Earth, Laurence King Publishing, LeCool, Panasonic, Sony BMG, Mercury, Universal Music and Wall of Sound. He also happens to bake a mean cupcake. No, seriously.

 


 

Benji Rogers

Digital Marketing

Benji Rogers is the founder of Pledge Music, a fanatastic digital platform that allows artists to raise money for their projects while engaging and growing their fan base.  Benji works closely with artists on their digital presence, and helps to expand their database and overall online existence via various marketing outlets.

Born in London, but having lived in New York, Los Angeles and Boston, Benji has variously worked in television and film, as a camera operator, and audio engineer. He has even run a bar in New York! Benji has been on tour with his band and as a solo artist with relatively few breaks since 2001 in both the US and Europe. With his mother, father and stepfather all having variously been managers, label owners, publishers and musicians, in the music industry he was literally born into it.

 


 

Sasha Rainbow

Stylist

London based Sasha Rainbow is a stylist, art director and fashion consultant. After studying design, she now works in fashion editorial and with music, where she helps new bands develop their on-stage and press aesthetic.


Sasha's previous clients have included Dazed Digital, Elle Girl Japan, Flux Magazine, ThePop.com, Debenhams and Mercedes Benz.
